I don't get reliable free upgrades with other rental places and do not see a need to pay for a nice rental while on vacation. The rental was great at fitting in with the local traffic and didn't scream "tourist" so I felt better with personal belongings left in the vehicle while we were at the beach. We specifically scheduled a pickup outside of the airport to avoid the parking fee upon pickup, but we were told they cannot do that on Sundays. We shouldn't have been able to request that through reservations, but it somehow slipped by. We still had to pay $15 to drive out of the airport with the car. That's why it's a four and not a five star review. Otherwise, everything was great.read moreread less

The car is really reliable & cheap on gas eventhough the car is not that new model. The car didn't give us a problem when we drove it anywhere in Maui. The owner was really nice & very helpful. Instead of waiting in the long lines for the rental car shuttle, we walked straight to our car, which was in the parking lot across from the terminal. Detailed instructions and pictures made it easy to pick up the car, and we were on the road within 10 minutes. Be ready to pay up to $15 for parking to get out of the lot, but I promise you, it is 100% worth the time and peace-of-mind of working with a great local company.
Car was about 10 years old with 80,000 miles, exactly as expected. Baseline Camry without key-less entry or anything more than an AM/FM radio. Air Conditioning worked well, windows went up and down, and it proved to be reliable. Everything I needed, and nothing I didn't. Perfect.
We only had one hiccup, which was the low tire pressure light came on early into our trip. Tire pressures all checked out ok, and I kept an eye on it during the trip without any issues. Go was great when I let them know, and there were no issues. Nice, new tires, by the way. It was apparent that Go definitely took care of their cars.
Returning the car was just the opposite as picking up. Parked the car, took a picture, left the keys in the lock-box, and walked to our flight. Easy peasy.
If you're looking for a brand new car with bells and whistles, I would suggest paying three times as much to stand in line at the airport for the big rental car companies (even then, you're going to get a much higher mileage car than you're used to on the mainland). If you're looking to experience Maui with a great local experience, go with Go, roll down the windows, keep the radio off, and just be in Maui.read moreread less

The car was ready for us at the airport parking lot and then we dropped it off once we left. The pricing was also very reasonable and I would say the lowest out of the other rental companies. They rent newer model used cars and you can chose, not just the size, but the year range you want. We rented a 2016 Hyundai Elantra, which was perfect for us. We also rented a couple of beach chairs from them. We decided to extend our time in Maui and the company made it so easy to extend our rental, even though they had to shuffle some things around.
